A Step by Step Guide to Fulfillment with ACT Insurance

We are so glad to have you at our upcoming Bespoke Art Society event at Malibu Wines and Beer Garden! We’re thrilled to have you. 

We understand that some of our vendors might not have been required to carry vendor insurance at prior events. However, Malibu Wines requires all vendors to have vendor insurance in place prior to the day of the event.

With the upcoming market, we want to make this process as smooth as possible for you.To assist, we’ve created an easy-to-follow guide using our recommended insurance provider, ACT Insurance, to ensure you’re covered and ready to go.

Important:

Vendors are responsible to have their own event insurance for this event. This is NON NEGOTIABLE. Vendor insurance is essential for protecting your business and livelihood as a craft vendor. It provides a safety net against unexpected incidents, such as accidental damage to your products, injuries to customers at your booth, or liability claims that could arise during events.

If you were a vendor at a previous Bespoke Art Society Market event at Malibu Wines and have an annual policy,  you do not need to submit the forms again. We have them on record. 

Step by Step Instructions: ACT Insurance

We need to receive documents that state the required two additional isureds certificates in addition to your individial policy. Three certificates total. Email confrimations or screen grabs of anything other than the certificates will not be accepted. 

Here is an example of what each certificate will look like:

The companies that we need these certificates for are below. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS  it is not “Malibu Wines” or “Malibu Wines and Beer Garden”.

To add through the dashboard:

Step 1: Select “Add Additional Insureds”

Step 2: Skip “Search Events”

Step 3:  Select “Retailer/Distributor/Vendor” for “Insured Type

Step 4: For the email use devon@malibuwines.com for both companies.

Step 5: Names and addresses are:

Once you have added both Malibu Management Services No. 3 and Valley Industrial Properties, Inc., return to your dashboard. You should see them listed under Download Documents like below.

What is an additional insured?

An additional insured is a person or organization that is added to your insurance policy by endorsement. When you add someone to your policy as an additional insured, you are extending your policy coverages to protect the additional insured from a lawsuit that was caused by your negligence. In other words, if someone slipped in your booth and broke their arm, the injured person could sue you and the venue. Since the venue is added as an additional insured, your insurance policy would protect both you and the venue in the lawsuit.

 

Can I add an additional insured after I purchase my policy?

Yes, just log into your account on the website, and within minutes you can add the additional insured and download copies of your certificates.

 

Is there a cost to add an additional insured?

No, there is no cost to add additional insured. You can add as many additional insureds as needed and send them certificates accordingly. All you have to do is log into your account, and under the policy screen click add additional insured.
